Adam: Mackenzie? What the hell are you doing here?! Mackenzie walks over to Adam near the window.

Mackenzie: What are you doing here is more like it.

Adam: How’d you find me?

Mackenzie: Nick.

Adam: Damn kid can’t keep his mouth shut.

Mackenzie: Yeah, well he’s worried about you. So are we.

Adam: We?

Mackenzie: Mom and dad.

Adam: Please... Mackenzie, look, I appreciate it, but I’m fine, now just... get the hell outa here okay?

Mackenzie: I’m not going anywhere -

Adam: Mackenzie, damnit! You don’t understand where you are. You have to go, now!

Mackenzie: No. Adam sighs, frustrated. He looks out the window again.

Adam: Any minute, some people are gonna be here, people I don’t want you involved with -

Mackenzie: Drug dealers?

Adam: I’ll be fine, it’ll take 2 seconds and I’m gone, but you - I can’t protect you, so you gotta go.

Mackenzie: You can protect yourself -

Adam: Mackenzie! Go!

Mackenzie: I’m not going anywhere. I’m not gonna let you throw your life away. Now if the people you’re meeting aren’t good enough for me, then they’re not good enough for you.

Adam: You gotta get outta here!

Mackenzie: You have a choice, Adam. You can leave right now. Leave this... place, leave this habit, leave this old life. It’s not you -

Adam: I can’t protect you! Don’t you hear me! If you don’t leave now, I’m gonna throw you out!

Mackenzie: We leave together or we go down together. Brother and sister. Cause that’s what we do. Remember? You always had my back. I’ve got yours... I love you.

Mackenzie: Let’s get outta here. Adam separates from the hug. He looks at his sister and nods in thanks. They walk off screen together. We hear the door open and CLOSE on their exit.
