She'S Not You: Written by Danny Miller Acting & Voice Studios INT. BAR - NIGHT MICHAEL, 20s, drinks alone at the bar. JENNIFER, 20s, approaches fast and sits next to him.
Jennifer: You think you can just treat people like that?
Michael: Ugh, Jen, not you too.
Jennifer: What did she do that was so bad that you dumped her over text?
Michael: Nothing, she’s a great girl. But every time I tried to do it in person, it just came out wrong.
Jennifer: She loves you, you know that?
Michael: I know, that’s why I had to end it.
Jennifer: You had to end it because she loves you? How does that make any -
Michael: Because she’s not you. Jennifer is taken aback. Michael sighs.
Michael: She’s not you, Jen.
Jennifer: I don’t...
(off Jen’s shock)
Michael: You don’t have to say anything. I knew it wasn’t right, but I also knew it wasn’t right to stay in a relationship with someone when I feel this way about someone else. Look, it’s okay. You don’t have to feel the same way -
Jennifer: No... that’s the problem. I do.
