Full Script

Dr. Meredith: He made it. (beat) No thanks to either of us.

Dr. Derek: What's that supposed to mean?

Dr. Meredith: It means we were so busy fighting each other, we almost lost him on the table.

Dr. Derek: I wasn't fighting. I was trying to save his life.

Dr. Meredith: You were trying to be right. (pause) There's a difference.

Dr. Derek: And you were trying to protect yourself. Not him. Yourself.

Dr. Meredith: Maybe. (beat) Maybe I'm tired of watching people die because someone needed to be a hero.

Dr. Derek: I'm not your father, Meredith. (silence) Stop punishing me for his mistakes.
