Full Script

Kendall: What are we going to do when people start asking questions?

Brett: Nothing. We’re gonna play it cool. We say we don’t know anything because we don’t know anything.

Kendall: We do know something.

Brett: Yeah well, no one else has to know that. Kendall plays with her food again, trying to hold it together.

Kendall: I just can’t believe she’s gone. I can’t believe we -

Brett: Kendall stop. Not here. And she’s not - We don’t know that she’s gone.

(under her breath)

Kendall: You don’t fall 50 feet onto concrete and survive, Brett.

Brett: We saw her fall, we don’t know what happened after that.

Kendall: Fall...

Brett: What?

Kendall: She didn’t fall Brett, she was pushed.

Brett: Did you see someone push her?

Kendall: I didn’t need to see it to know who did it. Brett stiffens up.

Brett: That’s a pretty hefty accusation.

Kendall: You know it just as well as I do -

Brett: Just because they were dating doesn’t mean it was him! Brett realizes he’s too loud and quiets down again.

Brett: Kevin’s been my friend - my best friend - for years, he’d never do something like that.

Kendall: Just like you never thought he’d quit the football team? Or never get arrested? Or never have a restraining order against him after hitting her?! Brett sighs.

Brett: He’s been through some hard times. I’m not saying he didn’t do things wrong... lots of things, but - murder?

Kendall: You’d be surprised what people are capbable of after they lose everything.

Brett: Yeah... Kendall shakes her head, getting upset.

Kendall: We shouldn’ta left her. We shouldn’t have left her there.

Brett: Hey. There was nothing we could do. Kendall buries her face in her hands. Brett tries to consle her. He looks off, worried.
