The Message
Vault-dweller's idealism meets wasteland reality
Full Script
Lucy: In the vault, we were taught the surface was completely uninhabitable.
Maximus: It mostly is. People just learned to live in the uninhabitable.
Lucy: But there's beauty here. Community. Things worth saving.
Maximus: Things worth killing for. That's what you're not seeing.
Lucy: I see it. I just choose to believe there's something else.
Maximus: Belief doesn't stop bullets.
Lucy: No. But it stops people from firing them in the first place.
Maximus: That's the most vault thing I've ever heard.
Lucy: Thank you.
Maximus: It wasn't a compliment.
Lucy: I know. But I'm taking it as one anyway.
