The Interview - Superman Style
Sharp-witted journalist interviews mysterious hero with underlying romantic tension
Full Script
Superman: You wanted to talk. So talk.
Lois Lane: Mind if I record this?
Superman: Go ahead. I have nothing to hide.
Lois Lane: That's funny, coming from a man who wears a cape.
Superman: It's not a disguise. It's a uniform.
Lois Lane: Right. So, let's start with the basics. Where are you from?
Superman: Far away.
Lois Lane: That's not an answer.
Superman: It's the only one I can give you right now.
Lois Lane: Mysterious alien refuses to disclose origin. Great headline.
Superman: I'm not refusing. I'm... protecting.
Lois Lane: Protecting who? Yourself?
Superman: Everyone. There are things about where I come from that could put people in danger if they knew.
Lois Lane: So you DO have secrets.
Superman: Everyone has secrets, Miss Lane. Even you.
Lois Lane: This interview is about you, not me.
Superman: Is it? You've been asking questions, but you haven't asked the one you really want to ask.
Lois Lane: Fine. Why are you here? What do you want?
Superman: To help.
Lois Lane: That's it? You have godlike powers and you just want to... help?
Superman: Is that so hard to believe?
Lois Lane: In my experience? Yes.
Superman: Then maybe you've been talking to the wrong people.
Lois Lane: Don't do that.
Superman: Do what?
Lois Lane: That thing where you look at me like you can see through me.
Superman: I can see through you.
Lois Lane: That's... that's not what I meant.
Superman: I know what you meant.
Lois Lane: One more question.
Superman: Ask.
Lois Lane: Are you... are you staying?
Superman: As long as you'll have me.
Lois Lane: You meaning... humanity?
Superman: Sure. Humanity.
