Jim Crow - Lovecraft Country Style

1950s horror with racial and supernatural terror

Atticus Freeman, Letitia Lewis8 lines

Full Script

Atticus Freeman: The monsters in these books aren't the scariest things we face.

Letitia Lewis: At least with monsters, you know what you're fighting.

Atticus Freeman: Do we? Half the time, I don't know which is worse - the magic or the racism.

Letitia Lewis: The racism's been around longer. It's had more practice.

Atticus Freeman: But magic... magic can fight back.

Letitia Lewis: So can we. We've been doing it our whole lives.

Atticus Freeman: Not like this. Not with actual power.

Letitia Lewis: Baby, we've always had power. We just never knew how to use it.
