Desert Protocol
Messianic figure faces the person who knows him best
Full Script
Paul: I've seen what happens. Every path leads to war. Every choice leads to death.
Chani: Then choose differently.
Paul: You don't understand. It's not a choice. It's a tide. And I'm already drowning in it.
Chani: The Paul I knew would fight the tide. He wouldn't become it.
Paul: The Paul you knew didn't have sixty billion lives on his conscience.
Chani: Not yet. But you're about to. And you're going to use me as the excuse.
Paul: I'm trying to protect you!
Chani: I don't need protection. I need you to be the man I believed in, not the prophet they need you to be.
Paul: What if I can't be both?
Chani: Then you've already lost, and so have we all.
